Hi,

I am wondering if it possible to buy a "Plan 0" with Cpanel or Plesk similar to the one offered with Webmin.
My current needs are small and I don't really need 10 GB space and I also think I can manage with 128 MB ram.
This is one of the reasons why I haven't yet placed an order as I am not sure if I need that much resources, so I would be great if you can help me out here :p

Thanks

Hi,

I don't think you can, but ask the Sales Dept. via their helpdesk.

Why not? Many other providers over it.

Well that would make the price jump to the bigger plan quite small, since the licens for cpanel and plesk are quite expensive and a big part of the total price. Also both these control panels needs quite much memory to operate well. You wouild get a low performing, not that cheap plan. And I quess powervps would like to offer good plans.

Reason why they can offer webmin, is cause itīs free.

Only my guess, ofcourse..

No, that plan cannot handle cPanel or Plesk reliably, you'll see services stop because of memory issues, etc.

Can you install cpanel in a Power-0? Sure, but your experience won't be what it should be, and then you'll be unhappy with us, so we won't sell you something that offer you a terrible hosting experience.

I think the problem with Power 0 is the burst ram limit. A lot of providers have plans with 128 ram guarantee, but if burst goes up to 256 only, performance won't be so good.

Raising the burst to 512 will probably make it more useful

RAM is one of the most costly resources, both literally and in terms of scaling.

The Power-0 has a lower RAM burst for a reason, if you need more, that is what the other plans are for.

Our Power-0, from my research, is still a higher end plan on the low end then most other providers lower end plan.
