I have rvskin installed and it seems to do much more than icons and labels.

Does anyone have more knowledge of it. I am finding the options rather confusing and it seems to want to change Cpanel in a way that goes beyond appearance only.

Hiya,

Yea, it is way more then just skins, for a quick overview/techie detail, you can visit here. (http://www.rvskin.com/index.php?page=public/t_featurecontrol)

Demodemo.com also has a nice series on cpanel/rvskins as well.

RVSkins is a lot more than just a skin. First of all, almost all customers like it more than the regular skin. Here is why I like it:

- It provides a MUCH better news system
- It provides a better feature manager than CPanel does
- It has some features that the regular skin doesn't (comes in handy for me sometimes) like PHP Info, last reboot and some others
- It's got several themes that change colors (customers use this)
- It's available for resellers to configure, it's another reason for people to choose you over others
- It's upsell features are useful
- It's updated a lot

There is more stuff than that but those things I personally use/like.

When I first installed it, I used changed back to CPanel skin for my self but after a while, I found that it is very handy.

What about the Stability ?

What about it? I have been running RVSkin for three months and no problems so far. It's always being updated which is great, rarely any problem that you'd notice (other than a missing image, I have yet to have seen any problems). If you find a problem, just report it to them. I found a missing image couple days ago, they said they'll fix it in the next version and I'm sure they will. It's very easy to install and runs fine.
