We're looking into subscribing to DNSMadeEasy (http://www.dnsmadeeasy.com/) 's service as a "failover" solution, using our PowerVPS VPS as our main host, and another VPS as a backup/mirror.
Does anyone have any experience doing this? Exactly how would it work, and how would we implement it on our VPS?

Hi, i dont think you can really do what you are looking for using them unless it's custom- that would cost a pretty penny i might add. They give you five ns that you would have to register your domain to- than from that point on, they will delegate your dns services.
I suggest you look into 4PSA DNS manager. A friend of mine brought it up to me and we had a long discussion on it- waiting for him to fork the money than he can host my dns services too;) Good luck
