I am considering switching to apache 2.0.53.

On their site they say
We consider this release to be the best version of Apache available and encourage users of all prior versions to upgrade.
http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/Announcement2.html

I am sure none of my accounts will have a problem running on it.

Anyone already running 2?

Any words of caution?

Hi there!

If you're using CPanel, I would highly recommend AGAINST using Apache2. CPanel only has very limited support for it at this time and it's not recommended for production use yet.

Apache 1.3.x is a very stable version and will work just fine for you if using CPanel.

As always, if you have any questions please submit a trouble ticket or send us an e-mail at support@powervps.com.

Apache 2 was installed on one of my servers, let my tell you it would act up so much that sometimes I would have to restart it. I would stay with Apache 1.3.33 untill cPanel supports it more (if you have cPanel that is).
