Hello,

I am looking into buying a VPS, and I have been exploring my options. After looking at PowerVPS, you seem to be a very reliable host. The only problem is that $44.50 for a Cpanel VPS is a bit too much for my budget. As that is your cheapest plan for Cpanel, and 5GB storage/100GB bandwith is WAY more than I would need anyways, is it possible to cut that plan in half? Perhaps 50GB monthly and 2.5GB storage, and in addition, 2 IPs would be excessive for me aswell.

I did notice that the Webmin VPS is $24.95 a month, however I have no experience with Webmin. Cpanel also seems to be more fully featured. (Not to mention nice looking.)

I understand that you will most likely not want to deal with making a custom plan, but I just had to ask.

Thanks for your time.

Hi Ian,

The majority of the price differential between the webmin plan and the cpanel plan is the cpanel license. I've mentioned this thread to Charles to have a look at, but you might want to submit a ticket to the sales desk - sales@powervps.com - so they can deal with you personally.

More features == more resources. Sometimes you get what you pay for I am afraid.

Get a cpanel reseller account if you can't afford a VPS. You will not have shell access, or resource guarnatees of course.

Thanks for your replies.

I figured it had to do with the liscencing. I would get a reseller, but I need a VPS. Thanks for your time.
