G'day,
Back in April 2003, Alberto (of ClientExec) wrote at his forums that the GST/VAT tax option (for UK, Europe, Canada, Australia etc) was "on the roadmap for version 1.1.x - 1.2". Having installed ClientExec 2.3, no such option was yet implemented. Disappointed, we could not use the script.
With GST and VAT one has to quote prices including the tax and the invoice or receipt then needs to break down the price quoted into the net amount and the tax proportion. Advertising prices any other way (in Australia for example) is illegal. Example:
Quoted price shows:
Book price: $44.00
Invoice/Receipt shows:
Book Price: $40.00
GST: $4.00
Total: $44.00
We're currently using phpCoin, which does this well, but were looking for something that could be plugged into WHM/cPanel, to streamline some admin workflow.
To attract more international clients, it may be worth re-assessing which billing/support script is bundled with plans.
