I add blablabla because vbulletin told me the message "go smf :)" was too short... Just that is a good reason to hate vbulletin :P

I could probably google it first, but I'll just ask for advice:

Has anyone gone from phpbb 2.x.x to Vbulletin? I have been using PHPbb forever, but it seriously sucks and as someone said is completely unsecure. Is there some kind of script to transfer users/threads to the new DB?

This is a topic to PROMOTE phpBB updates, not to leave it.

But you need to search on vbuletin website. And btw, if you will running cracked vbuleting, PVPS can cancel your service.

phpBB is SECURE if you take apropriated cares, and its FREE, devoloped under GPL.

yes, Vbulletin provides an Import script called Impex, its easy, free, and works pefectly, integrates fine...You will beat yourself over the head for not moving to VB sooner. Good luck.

why not try SMF?i am using it more than 2 years now and fully satisfied security power and simple what i can say about SMF forum and its free

1.easy to install/modify themes.
2.let you install mod with two mouse clicks.
3.open source and alot of people will to help you at start.
