Just checked in WHM/System Health/Show Current Disk Usage and there seems to be a problem with how space is being calculated.

Device--- Total Used Avail % Free
/dev/vzfs 11G 1.6G 1.8G 47% /
See attached screen cap whm.jpg

Tomorrow this will have increased for NAR.

It has been rising steadily now for the past few days for NAR. I deleted some junk to see if it recorded a drop but in actual fact it showed an increase in usage. The math is very wrong as you can see in the image.

I lay it down to another of those CPanel update bugs. Done some intensive searching to see if I could locate a remedy but found zilch. So came here to see if anyone else is having this issue or has had this and found a fix.

I checked the Power Panel and it is showing the correct data. I deleted more junk to test if VPP showed the result and indeed it showed an increase in available space. So that is working fine.

Device---Total Used Avail % Free
/dev/vzfs 11Gb 2Gb 9Gb 14.31% /
see attached screen cap vpp.jpg

For the forums, try again, we had a database error happen overnight, let me know if it works.

For the WHM issue, sounds wrong, please submit a ticket with your VPS IP or ID and someone will check it out.

Forum Upload and data base issues now appear to be resolved. :)

WHM issue still behaving strangely. I may submit a ticket if I exhaust all avenues to resolve it. Still trying to hunt down the cause.

Today the result of WHM/System Health/Show Current Disk Usage was an unexpected reduction in %Free and an increase in Avail without the Used being affected at all. Thats the strange part - the Used never changes and is below the actual space being used.

I checked the Disk Usage from shell and it checks out with the VPP figure.
# du -ach
2.1G total

Here is todays result:
Device--- Total Used Avail % Free
/dev/vzfs 11G 1.6G 2.5G 36% /
See attached screen cap whm2.jpg

The disk quotas are correct and the usage displayed when I view List Accounts is also correct.

I checked in /scripts for:
scripts/fixwhmducalculator
and
scripts/replaceflatducalculatorbattery
but none in there :)

The last resort is to reboot but there is no guarantee that a reboot will fix it either. I would rather see if I can locate the source of the problem so if it happens again I know how to fix it. ;)

If I locate the source/fix for this issue before any one else does, I will post it here.

There is nothing you can do to fix this, but we can. Please send in a support ticket so we can identify you, and we can resolve it.

thanks

There is nothing you can do to fix this, but we can...For the benefit of other board members and I, how do you propose to fix it and what has caused this issue in the first place?
If only WE can fix it then you already know the answers to the above questions so sharing them with the rest of the community should not present a problem, should it?

Did you drop the VPSTalk label for this board as I still use the http://vpstalk.net URL?

Its a server side problem which as I said you cannot fix. The host server is low on disk space.

We retained the URL (obviously), but as you can see we changed the name....
