Hi,
Came accross the following, and wanted to know the opinion of someone more knowledgeable here:

It claims to be a method to increase server performance by a wide margin, by increasing your IP Buffer settings, making your connection more receptive.

I assume it will work for both VPS and dedicated?

i believe these things are very sensible... These settings are probably set by the virtuozzo env. and some testing proved that what we have now is the best...

But i mean, it can depends on a lot of factors as topology, network load, applications use, etc...

you can't make those changes on a VPS and overall performance will not actually be improved per say...it's just a VERY slight increase in performance if it all depending on your application. but I like i said, you'll get permission denied errors on a vps.

So it's for dedicated only then?

elix,
I guess the improved performance would be for game servers or anything related to large amount of concurant users?

Pretty much, yeah...
