Folks,

Just a reminder, that at 4AM August 6th (about 4.5 hours from now), we are reloading the core switches and routers with new code, you'll see about 20-30 minutes of packlet loss/no connectivity while they come back online and reconverge BGP, etc.

What a surprise:mad:

I would expect to receive an email notification earlier rather than to discover this thread to see if there is any server outrage reported in the forum, when my site is down. I'm developing one of my sites half-way and... blank

You mean you expect all users to read this forum everyday ?

Hey There!

Email notifications were sent out, if you PM me your name and IP, I can look up the notification that went out and make sure you got it.

We would *never* do scheduled maintenance without sending out emails, the post on the forum was just a reminder for the folks that post here on a regular basis.

Server: VZWIN4

VPS: DVE4090

Is work still being carried out? As my VPS has been down for longer than planned?

Cheers
Dave

Tom, Is there anything you have (perhaps a diagram) that illustrates the setup of your network? I'm just curious....since it does not look like you have much redundancy in place, but I could be wrong here.

Trolling again?

I'd answer this but it really doesn't warrant an answer Elix, and you are no longer welcomed here, so you can leave on your own or I can ban you.

If you think we are not redundant, please ask the folks that have come in for tours that have seen the dual core routers in our cage.

This thread is closed, and I'd appreciate it if you went on your way without me having to ban you.

Dave,

No, VZwin4 was rebooted during the maintenance window to "un-stick" a VPS, and it didn't work, so SWsoft has spent the night working on the node and it has been up and down.
