Server reboot?

I a question about the reboot, I didn't understand this last time either. The email says "The reboot should be short - in the order of 15-30 minutes, but please allow for a worst case of 2 hours incase the server has a forced filesystem check."

Does this mean there will be 15-30 minutes (and it may be up to 2 hours) in downtime or is that how long it would take to restart all the servers. I'm a little confused, please explain.

I'll try explain this better. It *should* only take 15-30 minutes maximum to do the reboot. However, under some circumstances, the OS can force a filesystem check and if that occurs it can take as long as 2 hours to do the filesystem check, and you would be down that long.

The probability is low, since I know the mount settings, but it's always gest to plan for worst case :)
