Upgrade PHP

Has anyone upgraded their PHP within Windows VPS?

If so can someone explain the safest and easiest method of doing this, wish to go to latest v4 (not php5)

Just stop the IIS webserver. Go to 'C:\SWSoft\Plesk\Additional\php'. I personaly backup the directory incase. Download the updated php package from php.net, extract all the files and overwrite the current files in the php directory, make sure you dont copy php.ini though as that contains settings that are already needed. Once that is done it should be all ok, if not you will need to open the security tab for the folder and replace all permissions.

I only changed the IIS php stuff not the php that is used to run plesk. I did not want to mess that up.

I also updated MySQL as well, same procedure.
