I thought I'd post this here for others in the future.

I'd like to add two additional nameservers to my current VPS. I'm moving another reseller account over to my VPS and want to keep the same private branded nameservers as exist on that account.

Questions:
Does the domain name have to be within the VPS to utilize it for a nameserver?
Do I just go into WHM to Edit Setup and add tertuary nameservers?
Can I utilize the same IP's as my current nameservers or do I need to pick two others?
Anything else I'm missing?

Thanks so much

Yes. It needs to be added to the DNS on your VPS (have at least an A record and the NS records) but I have found that as long as the VPS thinks it's authoritative for that domain it doesn't have to be in reality. In other words you could leave the domain on the original box as well and just set the A records there for the nameservers to your IP addresses on your VPS.

Have to leave this to someone else, I'm a Direct Admin man not a cPanel one!
Check out this link though...

Absolutely, you can create branded nameservers for every domain you host with just two IP addresses.
Don't forget to set the NS records at your domain registra to point to your two VPS IP addresses. Almost all registras allow you to do this nowadays.
