What web mail program comes with Cpanel on the VPS Power-1 plan (if any). I currently have clients using Neomail, Horde, and SquirrelMail. I guess that means some extra work for me at the beginning?

All three, just like you have now.

What's the best webmail client to use out of the three listed in CPANEL ?

Is there a way to access one without having to go threw CPANEL ?

Thanks

The best one is the one you like the most :)

You have to go through cpanel for the integrated ones, but there is nothing stopping you installing you own copy of any of them on one or more of your domains.

I like Neomail but I will have to dig around to find out how to do the installation on the clients domain. A lot of my clients don't even bother with cpanel.

Can I install Neomail on my reseller domain and have clients point there to login to there emails on there domain?

yes, i dont see any reason why not. It just uses the same authentication they would use for pop/imap. They would just need to login.

Does anyone have a link to where I can get a webmail client (neomail perhaps) with install procedures on my reseller site so clients can log there to check there email via the web ?

All three should already be available. You don't have to go through cpanel, just go to http://yourdomain.com/webmail and you'll get a list of all three. You can then copy the shortcuts off the icons if you want direct links to any of them, i.e.:

http://yourdomain.com:2095/3rdparty/squirrelmail/index.php
http://yourdomain.com:2095/horde/index.php
http://yourdomain.com:2095/neomail/neomail.pl

I prefer Squirrelmail, it has a nice easy to use interface, and my Imap based spamassassin spambox is easily selectable if I want to look in there.

Hey Smoore, that's exactly what I need ! Thanks

Wow that HOrde mail is wicked too but for most clients probably overkill.

All three are quite nice. I personally am most fond of Squirrelmail. (But then again, it's mail for nuts like me! lol)

If it's not active go into root WHM and choose Server Setup>Tweak Settings. Down under mail you'll see a checkbox for neomail.

Horde is being a pain in the behind lately. The updated version isn't as good IMO as the one before. I'm just learning so installing any third party software just scares the beejesus outta me. DWMail looks pretty cool, not real expensive either but I'm chicken.

I have found that the most difficult one (NeoMail, Horde, SquirreMail) to transfer is Horde, so I am trying to get away from Horde use... The address book, which says it will import and export, never really seems to work 100% and can create a lot of extra work.
