Folks,

The beta testing is finally over, the servers are ready, support training has been done, and the order form is now ready to take your order today!

http://www.powervps.com/windows-vps.php

If you are looking for non-oversold Windows Virtual Private Server / Virtual Dedicated Server (VPS / VDS) solutions with hardware-assisted virtualization, enterprise class stability, then stop looking, because it's finally here!

Take a look at our new Microsoft Virtual Server line-up (PowerMVS) - The PowerMVS Basic, Advanced, and Enterprise Virtual Servers.

These new Virtual Servers are based on Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise running on enterprise class servers from SuperMicro utilizing the latest processing technology from Intel - Woodcrest and Core 2 Duo processors, and the award-winning hosting control panel from SWSoft - Plesk for Windows.

More info about Microsoft Virtual Server can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/virtualserver/default.mspx and more info about Plesk for Windows can be found at http://www.swsoft.com/en/products/plesk8win/.

Please submit your questions to sales at powervps.com and we'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks!

I have to say, since ive moved to MSVS the problems that i had with Virtuzo have completley disapeared. No longer do programs terminate when memory is used up, now you have proper virtual memory allocation, proper RDC console access to the server. Even boot up times seem to be instant. I hope it stays this way.

Also an addtional thing is that one less hop happens on tracerts, the host machine does not show up.

I had so many problems with the old virtuzzo it was unbeleavable, it was totaly bombing out on a daily basis, but ive been on the MSVS package for about 2 months now and i am impressed with it. I have been on the doors of the support department for a long time, but they helped moving me over early and answering any issues ive had.

If you are on a Virtuzzo package i would wholy recomend moving ASAP.

That is correct, we are not selling Virtuozzo for Windows any longer, and have switched to Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise.

We will look at Virtuozzo for Windows again when version 4.0 is released. The decision was to give our Windows VPS customers stability and performance over profits and downtime - since you cannot oversell Microsoft Virtual Server and it is much more stable.

I also notice on power-0 bandwidth was upgraded 3x and space 2x.
Price is also 10$ more.
Was the virtuozzo license so expensive that only 100gb could be given on the power-0 before?
Also, dosnt virtual server require a unique windows license number for each virtual windows?

Disk space was increased as we are not using the same backup procedures to backup MSVS VE's as we offer FTP backups now - which is cheaper to deploy and maintain/scale then doing VZ backups each night.

Read up on the SPLA program from Microsoft, it'll explain all the license options available for SPLA partners, including host/guest OS rules. Be prepared as it is an over-lawyered document and plenty long, under the NDA I cannot disclose the pricing/rules/etc.

We cannot oversell on MSVS hence the higher pricing, like I said customers love it and it has been rock solid for us - minus the typical customers MSVS getting hacked/trojans/exploited, same as a VZ VS or Windows Dedicated Server.

Simple question I was waking myself :)
Nevertheless those new packages look great. I just wish you'd introduced them before I took a cpanel power-1 heh.
They'r even better value-wise VS linux now.

Any plans to revamp the linux offerings as well?

There is no ETA at this time.

We're working on several projects at once. We've all been pretty busy here with some exciting stuff.

I can't say much, but I will say that powervps.com is getting a facelift, and we're working on a new billing/provisioning system that is going to seriously kick butt. :D

And more resources for each plan, I hope! :D

If you kick mine, I will give you an akill (IRC stuff, nevermind ^^).
