I Love Technology!!!

This is too cool. My family and I are traveling the Western US in a pull behind camper for the next three weeks. I'm currently typing this as I look at the snow capped Rocky Mountains. I was able to plan it so each campsite along the way had Wifi access so I could continue to monitor my "other business" as I'm vacation.

Gotta love technology!!

Chris, now some would say that this is technically not a vacation. But I totally understand where you're coming from - especially being a sole proprietor.

I'm curious - did you have to contact each campground directly, or is there a directory of wifi-enabled campsites?

Wireless internet is GREAT. I use it at home so I don't have to run CAT5 upstairs, and I use it so that I can just veg on the couch with my laptop on occasions and answer tickets/read e-mail. (Charles is so gunna kill me later when he reads that statement, lol).

No Charles, not driving while doing it. Yesterday was 6 hours of pure hell as I'm pulling the 21 ft camper through the Rocky Mountains and the wind was blowing terribly all day long. It sure didn't feel like a vacation yesterday. Glad we're in Colorodo's wine country now and had a little wine after we setup camp.

I just have to keep reminding my family that this business allows us to do vacations like this and so a little out of each day to hook up and take care of customers is a small price to pay.

Alright, off to go hiking in the Black Canyon of Gunnison!!

Yes there is a directory somewhere that has them all listed. Do a Google and you'll find it. Also a majority of KOA's have them.
