rvskins - moving info

Is it possible to move info from rvskins at my old host to my vps here without having to input everything again?

I'm curious about this myself. I ended up setting up RVSkins from scratch here as we have many more options available here than at the other host. (ex. setting up resellers, SSH, etc.)

Depending on how much customization you have, you may want to just set it up from scratch. I really would like to figure out how to reliably use the clustering feature though, so I can set it up on one VPS and propagate it to the others. I tried and messed something up and had to reinstall RVSkins on the 'slave' VPS.

Unfortunately at this time there are no tools available for moving RVSkin from one server to another. So far all of our customers have just customized RVSkin again themselves on the new server.

You can "try" to move RVSkin over, but I think you'll run into problems with the custom keys it generates for connecting for automatic updates, have issues with having to manually correct some permissions, etc. In the end, I think it will just be easier to install from scratch. LOL

On rvskins on my old reseller account, I was able to have my logo display and used the lightmaroon skin.

Here it says that logos won't display on the light skins. Why would it be different here?

Hey Karen,

Login to your rvadmin panel, go to skin manager -> Themes -> Logo:

A custom logo will only appear in the standard rvskin themes (rvblue, rvorange, rvteal, rvgreen, rvviolet, rvolive and rvmaroon) when you choose the option to show a logo and the powered by message in Global Configuration. To display a logo on the rvskin "Light" themes please customize the header here.

click on the "header here" and it will take you to a page "Header" where you can edit the header and include your logo for both lightrv skins too.
