Got my welcome email and started checking things out. These are the steps I see that I need to do. Can someone confirm this?

1 - setup RVskins with the theme I want to use (so that it can be choosen for Fantascio and in packages). BTW, I'm trying to change the rvskins theme and it won't go through :(

2. setup packages in WHM

3. setup Fantascio

4. move sites - which is better to move site

- Copy an account from another server
- Copy an account from another server with account password
- Copy multiple accounts from another server

5. What is the difference between using WHM and Power Panel?

Trying to set the WHM Remote Access Key in the rvskins setup. Can't seem to get that to work.

Also can't change the theme of the RVskins -- that isn't going through either :(

Prepare to spend some time in the RVSkins administration area, I enjoyed it but there was a lot in there. You have to do some extra steps in there to make Fantastico show up in it. I just manually set the theme for each of my accounts in WHM once it was setup.

For moving sites, the first option I think is only available if you have the root password from the source server. The second one (which I used without a problem) just uses the individual Cpanel login information. I haven't tried the third one.

WHM is your main administration console you'll use. Power Panel just lets you do a few extra things like backup/restore the entire VPS, monitor server utililization and history, view processes and other stuff. I use it mostly for utilization, like when I was doing a newsletter mailing it helped me determine what level of throttling I could get away with without overloading CPU or memory. You can also force a system restart if something ever hung up on the VPS. Best to just spend time within both and see whats available.

I never bothered with that Remote Access Key in there myself. Not sure what its for?

What do you mean you can't change the theme, you can't assign a theme to an account? You just assign it, then the theme should show up in Cpanel for that account.

1. Sorry, have not done anything with RVSKINs.
2. The packages will transfer when you copy the accounts. You do not have to set them up here.
3. Yes. Have to make sure to change the theme from Monsoon for your main domain or it will not copy.
4. We do not have root access over there so you can only copy from account with username and password.
5. WHM is what you are used to. Power Panel is for reboots and such of your VPS.

Certain things for the rvskins setup requires the remote access key. My son and I tried doing what it says in ssh, but gave an error of invalid user.

For the rvskins theme, there's an option in my cpanel to change the theme, and it doesn't do it :(

Sorry about that Karen

I believe the mixup occured because you emailed and requested it before your VPS was built. Until your VPS is built and in our system, we can't automatcially tell who you are, and rvskins got setup on one of the other VPS we were setting up at the same time as yours.

Sorry about that. I hope it explains some of your confusion :)
