Hi, I'm quite interested in you plan offerings, but I'd like to scale things up slowly and as business improves.

I was planning on picking up the Webmin-0 package, but ongoing would like to be able to upgrade to one of the cPanel-1 packages.

Is this even possible? I can understand upgrading from webmin-0 to webmin-1, but is it possible to "seamlessly" (note the quotes :) ) upgrade from webmin-0 to cpanel-1?

Thanks,
Warren.

Hi Warren

No we don't support this (besides there is no cpanel power-0). CPanel has to be installed in a clean OS install, so there is nothing seamless about the upgrade from a webmin power-0 to a cpanel power-1 I am afraid. You'd need to start with a cpanel power-1 to be able to seamlessly upgrade from there.

Thanks Charles.. (actually I edited it to cPanel-1, but i guess it was too late)

I'll have to think about it.. Actually maybe you would know.

With a cPanel setup, I know it requires a custom apache configuration. Would i still be able to change the configuration to allow something like
mod_jk to a resin or jetty setup outside of cPanel setups?

maybe I'll just go cPanel instead of webmin.

Yes you'd be able to do this. I must warn you that mod_jk/tomcat will not do well even on a power-1 due to high memory use. Most customers have either switched to resin on a power-1, or upgraded to power-2 and kept using tomcat.

But nothing stopping you doing this configuration, no.
