I always wondered when creating email accounts how does it affect the allowed disk space for a client.
Let's say a client has a 100 Mb package and he creates several email account with quotas of 20 Mb wouldn't this exceed the clients 100 Mb limit on his package?
Thanks

From what I understand, although the email quota may be 20mb, only what is used would count.
For example, if you have a 100mb account with the website using 10mb, and 5 email accounts of 20mb each with email accounts actually using
1 - 13mb
2 - 6 mb
3- 19mb
4 - 11mb
5 - 18mb
At that time, the hosting account would be using 77mb and would not be over their quota.

I understood it the same way. That's why you can set an email account to 'unlimited', when it's really not on an unlimited hosting plan. It's limit is the amount of space free in the CPanel account.
Interested to know what quotas y'all are commonly using?

A lot of my clients just use 20 mb for the mail box yet I like the idea of setting it to "unlimited" also.
