View Full Version : Power-1 and Power-2 free memory upgrades!
Hey Folks,
I'm excited to announce a recent change to our guaranteed memory settings on our Power-1 and Power-2 Linux VPS hosting plans!
All of our Webmin, cPanel, DirectAdmin, and Plesk VPS Power-1 and Power-2 hosting plans have had an increase of 128MB of guaranteed RAM.
This brings the Power-1 to 384MB of guaranteed RAM and the Power-2 to 640MB of guaranteed RAM.
You spoke, we listended. Yet again, this proves we continue to lead the way in the hyper-competitive VPS market. Not only from the technological standpoint, but also from the service and support side, by continually listening to our customers requirements, and giving them what they are ask for.
Thank you for your continued business and support.

All folks currently on SLM-enabled nodes have had the memory for several days prior to this announcement. Folks not on SLM yet will have the memory available as their nodes are scheduled for reboot to enable it.

Still waiting on an answer...:)

Sorry, I missed this. It won't affect them at all, they continue to get the additional resources they are paying for.
The Plus plan stays as it is, the "Lite" plan was put in place due to SLM, which we decided to give everyone the "Lite" plan because of the SLM "issues".

Any chance to get some kind of the special deal mentioned at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=4443374 for the current customers too? Forget the lifetime discount, I am interested mainly in the BW from that special and do not really want to order another VPS beside the one I have now.
Tomas
oh!
I got my new vps last sunday ... Can i get that special ? :o

I bet the PVPS guys will love me for posting that link now
I have been with PVPS for almost 2.5 years (which says a lot about the overall quality of PVPS) but since the time I joined there hasn't really been any update in the offered accounts.
IMHO, there should be a "special" for the long-time customers, right :)

I had known the WHT offer since 3 hours after Rob posted it. It's fair enough. Everybody does promotions to attract new customers.
Personally, I'd swap my extra 128MB for that lifetime discount; 'free' shows my usage hovering between 130 to 170MB. Hmm, can I?

So nothing for Power3 cPanel plans? :(
If not, I'd be better off downgrading to a Power2 as the difference in guaranteed ram is small now (640MB RAM - 768MB RAM), but price is very different.
Please?

I am on a Power2+ which has the same guaranteed & burst RAM as Power3 (but without the extra BW). There is only 128MB difference in the guranteed RAM between Power2 & Power3 but 512MB difference in the burst RAM - 2GB/2.5GB so it's a considerable difference still methinks.

The special on WHT was originally only going to be for new customers. However we opened it to existing customers adding ADDITIONAL servers. (It does not apply to existing servers.)
Vince, you can downgrade to a Power-2 if you like. However you lose the memory, disk, priority on CPU, etc. :)

So, to make it perfectly clear, if I have a Power1 with a Lite(+128mb), now it was upgraded to 384+128 = 512mb of guaranteed RAM ?

Here's the plans:
Power-1 = 384
Power-1 Plus = 640
Lite does not exist anymore.

Hello
AOK, so what do I have now with a power2 Plus plan. I am paying the Extra 20 and I am not sure I need it.

Wow.
I see the "Power-1 Plus Lite Add-on" on your modernbill, but it say "Price per Cycle: $0.00"
So, it's free now ? And if so, why it is listed there ? and the vps with this addons, now have 384mb ? and, the other Power1 and Power2 with PLUS addons ? confused :)
I have 9 VPS, between Power1 and Power2, and like 4 addons for some of them... I posted a ticket.

That's correct. You're not being charged $10 for extra 128MB. :)
Plus Lite is now just the base package. Therefore you're price is 0.00.
If you ordered a Power-1 PLUS (not the lite), you have 640MB. Otherwise on a Power-1 you have 384.

I may just do that.
Cost difference between Power2 and Power3 is more than 40% ($35.5)
RAM memory difference 640MB RAM versus 768MB RAM
The disk space is only 5Gb difference, which I can buy from you for $9pm
I honestly think the Power3 plan could do with an update on disk space and RAM, otherwise no longer as cost effective.
Can I schedule a downgrade in advance to coincide with next billing date?
Thanks,
- Vince

Can you update the website to reflect what is what now - I don't want to have to search through the forum to remember what everything is - thanks.

I agree this plan specifically should be updated, but would also like to see changes on Power-2 as well. Disk space could surely be upped without impact ($$ wise) to you or us?
Anyway, thanks, great service as always.

Anyway, if the disk space thing can be looked at, that would be much appreciated.

The packages all show the extra memory for me... if you still see 256MB, try clearing your cache. :)
