I want to be able to backup all user accounts to a remote server at I have at gnax.net. WHM logs into the other machine but just uploads tars with a 0kb size.
Here are my options I've selected in WHM:

I've looked at the WHM documentation but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
have you tried with passive mode turned on?

Hmmm. I'll try that but it's clear that WHM is getting to the other server. I'll set it now and report back.

Does anyone know if there's a way to schedule remote backup in WHM? I would think that there is but I can't find it.

To configure the times backups run, you need to use the WHM Addon Module "cronconfig".
Go to your WHM, find the Addon Modules, and install cronconfig. Once it's done, completely refresh WHM's window. You'll see "Configure cPanel Cron Times" towards the very bottom of the left hand side of the screen. Click it and find cpbackup. cpbackup is the script that handles CPanel's backups.
You can change the cron time there. The boxes are:
Box 1: minute
Box 2: hour
Box 3: day of the month (like 23rd)
Box 4: month
Box 5: day of the week (like saturday). 0 is Sunday.
Generally leave 3-5 as *'s, as you will want the script to run daily (the script itself checks if it needs to be run daily, weekly, monthly). You'll just want to set the hour and minute. :)

Thanks Robert. Also, once I enabled PASV mode, I was able to back up all of my sites to a remote server.
