Anyone here have IMAP / Squirrelmail running on Webmin-0

I am having a heck of a time getting Squirrelmail to run optimally on my Webmin-0 package. Has anyone here put together a succesfully installation.


Squirrelmail of course nees IMAP running; Webmin-0 does not come with an IMAP server installed -- at least as best I could tell mine didn't. I tried gettting courier-imap installed, but fell into dependency purgatory while trying to build an RPM. A bit of research indicates that courier-imap is not officially encouraged for Fedora Core 2, so I tried dovecot.

Dovecot seems to be running fine, but the mailboxes are not getting populated. I.e., when logging on to Squirrelmail, no mail is shown in the inbox even though there is mail on the server.

Obviously, I am not an expert in this area. If anyone has a lead on a good how-to I'd be deep in debt.

We can install uw-imap for you which works fine with squirrelmail. Just let me know here or open up a support ticket.

Am I right to assume I should uninstall dovecot first?

It really shouldn't matter as long as you dont try run both at the same time.

You should be getting a response from support soon, as it has been installed. There is no configuration required and it should "just work".
