Hello from the DC area!

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie here, a refugee from another VPS provider. My first site moved, DrudgeForum.com (http://www.drudgeforum.com), has been doing great since I've been here. Support seems wonderful here also.

I had some real trouble with my last VPS provider, as CPU usage went as high as 15.0 and it took them days to get it somewhat manageable again. Of course, at first they said I should upgrade...I can't imagine what I could even do to make the CPU use go that hi. I was using little resources in reality. I won't name the provider as I don't want to bash them here... PM me if you want the name...

I live in the DC/Northern VA area, so I'm just down the street from PowerVPS/Defender and Equinix. So I guess I could drop in at some point, LOL :D . But I used to live in Seattle...I know there are some other Seattle folks here. I do miss my quiet house in Magnolia and views of the mountains... :rolleyes:

Welcome Lance. I used to live in Leesburg but retreated to southern Virginia to get away from the traffic and high costs and traffic and pollution and traffic and stress and traffic... :D

Yeah, I don't like the DC traffic much. Luckily we live where we can walk & metro pretty easily a lot of the time. Leesburg...that's a commute all the way into the city...nice outlet mall there though!

Welcome Lance! I'm a newbie here too - I think it's been about three weeks or so, coming from a reseller host. So far, I'm pleased as punch here and trust you will be too.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been happy also. From experience, all VPS providers are not created equal. This one seems great so far.
