Hello from Norway
I ordered my cPanel VPS on friday evening (Norwegian time) and it was not much more than about a hour before I could make my first "baby steps" in to he world of VPS
I'm a "newbie" when it comes to manage a Linux server (VPS), so maybe I'll ask many fun and stupid questions here in this community.
It looks like this is a "nice and friendly" community after reading most of the posts here.
As you see in the heading, I'm from Norway. (And the urban myth about polarbears walking in the streets, are NOT true. Except on Svalbard!)
I'm old, 41 year
And left the Norwegian military after 20 years last August because of the big cut backs going on in the military here now.
But I got a good deal to quit my job, 3 years full pay to re-educate my self.
So now I'm studying web design, development etc. etc.
My job in the "service" was graphic design and printing, something I have done for more than 15 years.
And I'm also a "die hard" Mac user!!!
But I have managed a Mac Xserver for almost 2 years, so I'm not without some knowledge about this. But running a Xserver is very easy.
And I have used my "big Mac" at home to run Apache for testing web stuff and other things.
I have also had a reseller account with 2 different host since April last year, so I'm not "new" to WHM/cPanel as a reseller. But there are so many more menus in WHM with root access
Support and response time at PowerVPS have been very good after I sign up. Even if I'm in a different time zone.
I have not transfered many of my domains from my old host. Mostly because I have some domains using .no, and they use 1-2 days to approve new nameservers, and since I made the change on Saturday, it will take some days before they start to work here.
But I have transfered this domain: Gwen (http://gwen.minhund.net)

So this was my "little" hello to all you fellow VPS user here.
