hi,
Do any of you use phpsuexec? What are the disadvantages and disadvantages? Does it break many scripts?
It sounds like a good idea, but yet, I hear it can break scripts.

Advantages: You can identify which user is abusing resources in a shared environments
Disadvantages: Uses more resources as it runs php as a cgi to be able to set the user privs and id also slower. It can break scripts, but usually its just a matter of changing which config files you use.
If your not a reseller I don't think you need it.

What do you mean by a reseller? I do host clients, if that is what you mean.
Does it make a great load difference?
It seems like a good idea, I am just not positive. I do know it'd be very useful if a script gets out of control. Would you recommend it?
And to install it, you just check the box in the update apache section of whm, correct?

Yes

It can. We used to have phpsuexec on by default with our packages, but decided to remove it because of the additional resource use and slower performance (and the ocassional person getting confused by the config changes needed sometimes). But it really depends on how busy your sites are.

If you experience runaway scripts or abuse frequently, I would. I suggest trying it and see how it performs for you.

Yes, and rebuild apache/php
