Is there a way to reset SSH login information?

Hello.
After the last restore of my VPS (caused by a node problem), my SSH service finished broken. Fortunately you Powervps support people still have access to my VPS!

I was wondering if there isn't another way for reseting my root SSH password than restoring everything from an older backup?

If it's just a "password reset", then it does not require a restore. The tech can enter the VPS from the hardware node itself then just do "passwd root" as you would do to reset your password and change it from there.

However if there are other problems (for example, SSH does not work because binaries are corrupted or there are problems with other binaries being corrupted to the point of not being able to manage the VPS), it may be necessary to restore from backup.
