Hi.

Just wondering if anyone has advice on the best way to upgrade software such as PHP, MySQL, AWStats, phpMyAdmin, etc, so that there are no conflicts with Plesk.

For example, PHP 5.2.5 was released recently - is it best to use the Zip archive version or the MSI installer?

Thanks.

I'm personally a fan of just sticking to the basics. The installer would be best.

Just make sure that the version of PHP is compatible with Plesk. That's a good question to post on their forums, etc.

Thanks Robert. I'll ask on their forums about compatible versions.

Plesk doesn't play nicely with Apache/PHP upgrades that it hasn't been designed to work with. Just a word of warning.

Any upgrades MAY work, but they may also completely destroy your Plesk install. Be careful!
