I was just wondering if someone can share the average setup time for a VPS with me. I recently went with an offshore hosting provider and have not had access to my account for over a week now. They claim an upstream provider is causing the problem which I know is just a brush off. I am about to cancel my account with them (and hope the reconciliation process isn't as painful as the setup process) and was shopping around and found PowerVPS/Defender Hosting. The literature on the site seems to indicate that it only takes a few hours to setup. I was wondering if that is the case for newly added accounts since I am anxious to start getting setup. The aforementioned company has cost me 7 days of missed opportunity and I can't afford to lose any more time.

Hi there,

We voice verify all new accounts so after that is done your VPS is normally ready a few hours after that point.

I've found PVPS pretty quick provisioning servers under all circumstances.

The first time I signed up as a new customer was on a Sunday. I got a call back 20 minutes after I submitted the order and the server was provisioned 20 minutes after that. This was simply tremendous.

More recently, I added an additional server to my collection (my empire!). This was a HSPC server ordered Friday afternoon (after COB I believe). The server was provisioned before the new day.

I believe the longest I've ever had to wait for a PVPS server was 12 hours.
