hi,
I've been looking around, but can't find much on this. What are oomguarpages and privvmpages? I see the limits, and what my number is currently at, but what are they? And what's a good level?
Also, how can I tell how much ram I am using at any given time?
Thanks,
Brandon

Hi Brandon
oomguarpages is your ram guarantee
privvmpages is your burst allowed
A good value is anything that under your limits :). As long as your not hitting them (getting alerts for it going black) they are ok.
The amount of ram you are using is the "Current use" oomguarpages * 4/1024.

Excuse my ignorance, but is my soft limit set too low for a power-2?
oomguarpages
current use = 62,366
soft limit = 131,072
Same with vmguarpages
and as for
privvmpages
soft limit = 471,860
Thanks

Those are the right softlimits for a power-2, note that the values are in 4K blocks. Also hardlimit is the real maximum limit and softlimit is like just a warning limit.
