Hi,

I was looking for some problems about one of my customers(some users see her website on the previous host)... I found why. Slave dns didn't have the new infos.

But i also noticed that having .info domain names as dns server could cause delay for most of my customers ( most are having .com domains )

see:

Average of all 2 nameservers: 204ms (plus 516ms overhead).

Score: F

I would like to create two dns in the .com ... I currently have ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com who resolves to somewhere else ( to two other vps... ) .. So i would like to create ns3 and ns4 resolving to my two powervps ips.

To create it, is creating the entry in my dns registrar is enough or do i have to also change my cpanel configuration ?

Thanks for your help.

i just moved a .info domain from another vps to my powervps ... and resolution time is great:
So the trouble really is having a .info tld dns for a .com tld domain ...

Average of all 2 nameservers: 3ms (plus 19ms overhead).

Score: B+
