Hi
There was a thread on WHT about how cpanel is slow on VPS's. I have noticed this. The person was selling a way to speed it up by tweaking somthing in WHM. Just wondering if anyone knew how to do this?
Cheers

Seaniboy,
I would recommend against making any purchases from him.
He seems like a new user and the only tweaks hes going to make are directly in WHM: Which truthfully anything in there isn't going to make much of a difference.
The real tweaks that matter are your mysql configurations and apache configurations in most cases.
(Certain software can be a resource hog such as: spamasassin -- disable it you don't use it).
Read the last reply, it's a scam.

Yes, it seems they all have same defualt 2 lines:
[mysqld]
set-variable = max_connections=500
safe-show-database
Tony, the samples on the link you posted have no 'set-variable' less max connections and no 'safe-show-database' entry. Could you advise on implications?
I'm on your cPanel Power-2 and have many Mambo sites although not busy right now. Is this setup OK for me? http://forums.deftechgroup.com/showpost.php?p=493&postcount=4
Many thanks
