Anyone have any experience with lpanel (www.lpanel.net) as a billing/management solution? Currently using Whoiscart and looking for an alternative.
Need eNom interface, authorize.net and cpanel.
I like whoiscart well enough, I'm just tired of having to update all my themes/templates and other customizations with every update.
Thanks

No but I'll check it out today and let you know. I'm about to completely redesign my site. Lol, got as far as the new logo and that's it.

I know it looks very nice and supposedly the latest version is pretty decent. But I've read many posts on WHT I believe about it being quite buggy.
I've tried it and it beat up my VPS due to a runaway script built within it :-P. I think they fixed that issue now, but it also screws up quotas stiill. Horrible software!

I think I'll stick with trying out Account Lab Plus then. What I've set up so far seems to be pretty decent.

I'm personally a fan of ModernBill. Have not had any expierence with lpanel... but it just did not seem to do enough for what I needed.

I've heard that ModernBill is a real nightmare to setup. That's the only thing that has kept me away from their product.
Sounds like lpanel isn't much though . . . thanks for sharing gang.

I did not have any issue setting it up... (but then again, I'm also a big tech geek, lol).
They have a demo version, which is free for you to give a try. The biggest thing you will want to do is make sure you have PHP setup already with cURL support and that you upload the files correctly. (Personally I just upload the file to the server and use "unzip filename" to decompress it so that I don't have to worry about this.)
One of the biggest mistake I see with ModernBill setup is folks uploading the encoded files as ASCII. The files need to be uploaded as Binary in order to work correctly. :)

What's the license fee on ModernBill ?

$25/mo for unlimited domains.
as far as lpanel, I think it's less buggy now, but it still screws up quotas.

I think there may be a way to get MB for $15/mo for a 50-client license.

Yeah, through some resellers--but I don't think they sell that direct.
I personally like this one:

Still using Clientexec here.. 2.5 version will be out soon with Enom integration and paypal subscriptions. It may be limited compared to other things, but it's working good enough for me at this point.
This is all I have ever used besides the famous phpScamManager..

yeah, it is nice- just a tad expensive

But, it's hosted on their clustered servers with 24x7 toll free support :-).
I'm using clientexec and am very happy with it. For a small webhsoting company it's perfect. Not expensive ... easy to configure and manage... it gets all the basic features... and many advanced features(cpanel creation of account via clientexec is possible)

I would much rather have lpanel than clientexec....
If we get 41+ ppl, we can get the licences for $6-$7 a month...
If enough ppl prefer to have lpanel to clientexec any chance of it being offered as an alternative through PowerVPS?

Lpanel seems to offer a lot more features than ModernBill although I haven't had any experience with Lpanel. Like Robert, I'm a fan of ModernBill too. Probably I'm a little discouraged by hearing comments on Lpanel's slightly buggy state at the moment.

Those comments are almost half a year old, I've been hearing very positive comments lately

We used to use the hosting company that created lpanel, as a matter of fact we were alpha/beta testing their software for them. I can say that it was buggy a year and a half ago, and it doesnt seem to have improved much.
Personally ModernBill is one of the best out there, its stable and robust and has V5 coming out soon which is meant to improve on a lot of things. MB also as far as i know has one of the most extensive module supports going (it can integrate with almost anything). The thing i like about MB though is that if you need a specific functionality within the system, raise a ticket and they might just code it in for you! (they have done a few things for us which is cool).
