Hi, I'm currently looking to source a new host for my websites due to the current host seemingly abandoning its current customers. I've narrowed my choice down to a few companies to appear decent and offer plans within my price range / spec needs, and now I'm doing some final eliminating before making my final choice.

I've just got a couple of questions I couldnt find answers to on the PowerVPS site:

1. How long has this company been operating, and how long have they been offering VPS solutions?

2. What exactly is meant by "equal share" CPU?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi Mat, I'm not a PowerVPS rep. But I can help.

1. IIRC, they've been operating for ~ 4 yrs.
2. It means you're sharing the CPU power of an overkill server with other users. But, you will have equality and ability to burst if needed.

Good luck with PowerVPS!

Ok... so I've decided to go with PowerVPS, and have my account all setup and everything... copied all the data over thanks to WHM's amazing transfer function.... and now, for the life of me I cannot remember/figure out how to update my nameserver info. I'm using GoDaddy as my registrar, but the only options I can find there are to modify the ns.whatever that my domains point to (which as I'm coming from another VPS, are already set to ns1.mydomain and ns2.mydomain.... what I need is to find the option to change the IP's they point to... can anyone help? lol

Support directed me to this link~

I just changed mine at Network Solutions.
Once I put in the ns1.whatever.com and ns2.whatever.com it took me to another screen. That is when I put in the actual IP's.

yeah, finding that option with godaddy is hard the first time... I was sure it wasn't there, i even asked support@...

But just follow the instructions exactly... and you'll get into the "secret world" :)

Yep, I've got it now... the worst thing was I knew it'd be pretty much right under my nose LOL Now for the DNS waiting game I guess!

That's usually pretty quick now-a-days. But, kinda slow if you're making new nameservers.
