So if i fly out to Ashburn Equinix is Charles or Tom or anybody willing to give me a tour? ;D I would love to see and explore Equinix. Wait you guys operate out of San Jose too, Is there really somebody from Defender doing remote hands at san jose location willing to give me a tour? ^^ How about customer appricatation day (: Ev1Servers has tons of those. I would totally fly out and meet the great sys admins that manage my VPS.

We don't have anyone to give you a tour in SJ, but you are welcome to a tour anytime at Ashburn.

SJC is covered by contractors, Chi is covered by 1099's and the relationship we have with another on-site provider there.
Ashburn is our main center, and you are welcome to come out here anytime! If you wanna come in late Aug or early Sept, plan on staying a few days as we are building out a new 20 cab cage in building G at Equinix and could use some assistance! :D

If I fly up, will you lock Charles in a crate so he can't pay me back for all the evil smilies and such?

Sometime before the end of the month? Customer Apprication day? Steak dinners provided by Charles? :D Sometime before school starts again for me =[ Just 12 units this semester yay.
customer appreciation day... that would be good if they pay the plane ticket and the hotel to show their appreciation :)

Sure. We can do a customer appreciation day. The day following it though VPS prices increase 20% to make up in airline ticket losses. ;)
=P I would pay for plane ticket since i have miles, Paying for my VPS most likely has enough miles for the trip. (: I'll pay for my ticket you pay for dinner ;D Also hotels? who needs those we'll see sleep at Equinix, the hum of servers can rock you to sleep.

I just might take you up on that offer someday. Plus I could drive to Ashburn in a matter of hours, I live quite close.

Who can guess the real answer out of these three choices:
1. It's not going to be expensive - i'm as tight as they get.
2. It will depend on the week i'm having. If it's like this week, we'll be eating ramen noodles.
3. You kidding me? Big daddy Tom will foot the bill for steak any night.
charles
Ramen Noodles, can never get enough MSG (: So tom's the one i need to go to. I might be making a road trip to Virginia soon to get my Scion tC fitted with a turbo (: Might drop by Ashburn while they work on the car.
Wrong answer.
It's closer to #1 ;)

I like #3 but I'd imagine #1 was right. http://nflfury.com/forums/html/emoticons/516.gif

I'm in Arlington, VA all this week... if someone were to provide me with location details, would I be able to get a tour of the datacenter? That would be SO cool. :)

Please :)
Thanks,

We are not allowed to take photos in the datacenter, sorry. Equinix.com has some pretty nice promo material though.
