I set up a user and domain, then set up mail for this domain. I used webmail to send a test message to another domain I own (hosted elsewhere). The message was never delivered to this other domain and I keep getting the following email from my domain on the VPS for this one email sent:

MailEnable: Message delivery has been delayed.

Message is waiting at domain.com for delivery to metalogixgroup.com.

Reason: Mail Server for metalogixgroup.com could not be contacted at this time. MailEnable will keep trying to deliver this message and will notify you of any progress.

Message headers follow:

Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]) by domain.com with MailEnable ESMTP; Wed, 23 Feb 2005 18:39:41 +0100

How can I stop this message from happening. I believe there is a setting somewhere, but I can't locate it. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

This issue is due to the dns server misconfigured in MailEnable, to correct it:

1. Connect to your VPS via Remote Desktop.
2. In Windows Explorer, go to My Computer-> C drive->Program Files->SWSoft->Plesk->MailEnable->bin double click on mailenable.msc
3. In the console which opens up, go to Servers > Localhost > Connectors> SMTP
4. Right click on SMTP > Properties
Give your server IP address in the DNS address field and your domain name in the Domain field.
Click on Apply.
5. Then restart MailEnable (SMTP) service either from there or through the plesk control panel (Plesk->Server->Services management)

Thats it! Open your webmail and try sending out a mail.

And if what Veena said doesn't work; make sure that you have followed the EasyStart procedure correctly. Incorrectly set up NS and DNS configuration within the Plesk CP will cause this error too.

Thank you Veena, your suggestion worked.

Only issue is that now I can no longer access my Plesk control panel OR the Power Panel. When I attempt to acces Plesk at https://204.157.10.178:8443 I get the following message "Your product key has expired. To continue the use of your control panel, you must purchase a non-expiring commercial license."

I understand that you are working on this. How long till I can access the control panel?

Thanks.
-Chris

I've sent out an email about the plesk license. I can't tell you how quickly SWSoft will respond, but it is the weekend so it might take them till monday to respond.
