Does PVPS use arctic silver between the CPUs and heatsinks of the servers or just a thermal pad? I'm sure you guys have something good (: I use arctic silver 5 on all my CPU/GPU needs, it runs great but only thing i hate is when you remove the heatsink for whatever need it sticks to the CPU like cement and pulls the CPU right out of the socket.

I prefer cement. Old style! ;)

lol, sounds like you need to be a little less ham-fisted. :D
Get the PC nice and warm first, and then a gentle twist-and-pull action will do the trick.

;P it always happens that way for me no matter how warm the CPU is. Well i guesss processor pullin isnt my thing. I have my friend do it for me now, he does it the best. Dont forget to use AS cleaner and polishh that heatsink.

A little bit off-topic... but it's about fun with cpu... at least...
i remember 3 or 4 years ago... One night, i heard a sound like "cling-bing" coming from the computer's room at my house.

I wake up and walk around to see what felt on the ground or on my table... But couldn't find anything... i was going back to bed when I looked at my computer screen... then i wonder "why the hell is my screensaver frozen and doesn't move anymore?"

My computer box is always open... i look into it and damn! My cpu fan just felt and is hanging from the wire...

:)
I shut the computer off... the little plastic braket that hold it on the cpu did broke!!
I was happy and lucky that my cpu was still working after that ;)
