I am a newbie and not a reseller - just a guy with several domains to edit and manage.
I thought I was gettting a service that had IMAP mail. Is it not turned on by default? Am I missing soemthing? What are the instructions for using it with my Mail client (OSX Mail)
Is there an installer I can run? I love IMAP because I migrate between two G5 Macs at work and three macs at home and I like to have my e-mail on the server.
Please advise. I thought I'd ask the community before issuing a trouble ticket.

CPanel has support for both POP3 and IMAP. You would use "mail.yourdomain.com" for the incomming and outgoing mail server and you would use "username@domain.com" as the username. Note this is a FULL e-mail address for the username. :)
If you have problems, feel free to drop us a support ticket and give us the e-mail address and password you're having trouble with. We can attempt to connect ourselves via IMAP.

Hey Rob!
Thanks for the swift reply.
I tried the tip and got an error after it timed out.
There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account “news@kidvibe.com” or try again.
Here's the screens for my iMap setup

I entered the email addy as the user name like you said.

Q: Do I need to authenticate the outgoing mail server?

Please email support and provide them with valid account info so they can test. This should work with the settings you show.
Q: Do I need to authenticate the outgoing mail server?
Yes, use password authentication and the same info as for imap.
AND if I want my folders to synchronize how would I fill out this box?
Just check the checkbox, you shouldn't need anything else.

Thanks Charles!
Yes that was the complete info I needed to properly set up this mail client.
Use xxx@domainname.com as your user name AND make sure your set your outgoing mail server is set to 'Password Authenticate' and use XXX@domainname.com and your password in those fields.
It works now and hopefully other newbs will benefit from this post.
