Hi,
After having some problems with mail lately I have decided to restrict the number of emails that I user can send per hour.
I would like to hear from you what is the recommended number for a Power-1 Cpanel VPS.
Also do you know if mailman will override this number?
Thanks
No, mailman will not override this number, and Actually I have problem which is I have mailing list with about 100 subscribers, which means 10 emails per days means 1000 distributed email because the mailing list is mine so I don't mind this number of emails is being sent but I don't want other users to be able to send this number of emails
and unfortunately numbers of emails per hour is global settings and cannot be set per domain.

Does anyone know what the maximum is though? And what do you do if a user does have a large mailing list / two? Can it be limited on the VPS accounts?

If ou are using Cpanel go to WHM and Tweak Settings (its near the top of the list)
In the MAIL section you will see both
The maximum each domain can send out per hour (0 is unlimited):
The number of times users are allowed to check their mail using pop3 per hour:
I use Dada Mail for large mail lists, since it has a method of sending a set number per hour. I can't wait for Mailman to incorporate that feature.
