Hi,

I have a reseller account on another major company and lately support and server maintenance is not the same. :(

Switching hosts is always painful and costly and I don't want to do it again so soon. That's why I'm thinking of getting a VPS account on PowerVPS. ;)

The problem is I'm no Linux tech, I can use cPanel and WHM and that's about it. I know a few SSH commands and have no prior experience with Virtuozzo.

So I'm not sure if I can handle a VPS to be honest. I would like to know if the support staff can help me moving my account and my clients accounts (around 50), transfering my SSL certificate, installing RVSkin for me and how much that would cost me.

It's very important to me to have 99.9% uptime/month. I'm interested on the $44.50 cPanel plan.

Thank you for your attention and sorry about my english. :o

Your English is perfectly fine, caesar :).

The staff will be happy to install RvSkin for you, all you would need to do is configure it (which is easy). Fantastico is also easy to install yourself and when you get the VPS you get a link that it's basically just one of those "next, next, next" things you get for Windows ;).

If you don't have many accounts PowerVPS can help you transfer for free. If you've got a lot of accounts PowerVPS will atleast guide you through. I've read on the forums that PowerVPS will install SSL certificates as well, so they can do that =).

If you ever have a problem like httpd down, etc. PowerVPS is great as they respond very quickly to tickets.

You should not have any problems moving to a VPS :).

Cheers

Wow! You are faster than sales :)

Thank you for your answers. I will wait to get more detailed pricing information (to install RVSKin, SSL certificate and transfer accounts) from sales.

Thanks again.

Oh I meant that should all be included with the $44.95. :) If you have a lot of accounts that may cost some, however.

I did just what you're about to about about 2 months ago. I was on a shared reseller plan with another provider, and after looking around for a VPS provider I cam across PowerVPS. Actually, I came across glowing reviews of PowerVPS on a number of different forums.

I signed up and was just as confused as you're going to be when I started moving from my other host to this one. Tech Support was more than helpful, even held my hand while I moved accounts over. The people in these support forums answered the questions that I didn't feel were important enough to send to tech support. I was up and running on my new VPS within 1 day, thanks to the lightning-fast response of tech support and people in these forums.

Of course, I'm still learning, as both elix and Charles would tell you, but I'm getting better.

You won't go wrong by making the switch!

They are quick .. quicker and even quicker on their ticket replies.
