What is the difference between Cpanel Reseller and Cpanel VPS, it looks like Cpanel Reseller is even more expensive?

What is the scope of "management" on the Cpanel VPS?

is PowerVPS :D going to set up initial programs and services to get my webhost up and running? What potential problems will I run into?

Basicaly, i don't want to "manage" my server by telnetting in and out of it everyday. I just want it to be running smooth and steady, and i won't touch it if nothing's broken.

Well in terms of value it is expensive than the VPS, but it depends what you really need. What is the scope of "management" on the Cpanel VPS?

AFAIK there are atleast these two major advantages of a VPS over a Reseller account:
1. Isolation from other websites on the same node. This is a major problem when hosting a reseller account. Other resellers might host a bad script and that could affect all the domains on that server. In VPS environment this wouldnt affect you at all as your VPS is guaranteed some amount of resources at all times and for that matter your VPS would remain unaffected in case of problems with scripts on other VPS.

2. You have much more control and flexibility on your domains. You have the root account and you can add remove any software component and can almost change any settings to suit your requirements. In a reseller environment you have to use whatever is available on the server and for that matter many hosts wouldnt really co-operate even for smallest piece of info. For instance, the hosting company where I have a Windows reseller account refused to give me the date of creation of a few domains (control panel HELM). He asked for a fee of $25 to get that info for me....LOL

There are definitely other points to consider too and there might be some advantages favoring reseller account over a VPS account, personally I would recommend a VPS account rather than a reseller account. I've done it about a month back and I'm not going back for sure.

If administration of the VPS account is what is holding you from a VPS account, and you rather dont want the headache of doing the administration (no matter whatever little is required of that), you could probably try and find someone to share up a VPS account from here and let them handle it for you as a deal.

I could see doing that for you if you like, I have quite a bit of idle capacity on mine :)

Thanks for the offer Shazada. Yeah I think i'll go for the VPS, as I cleared out what kind of support is included with the VPS plan and what's not. I just don't want to update my VPS's basic software evertime Apache or whatever upgrades their version.

Apparently PowerVPS team does this! so that's cool.

I know a little linux, installing and stuff, i just don't have time to do it. If i'll need your help i'll contact you k?

You actually rarely ever need to do upgrades. If you pick cPanel/WHM there's a script that it comes with which has can do a "one-click" installation of popular PHP modules, and upgrading to a new PHP version (which happens every so often).

PowerVPS support is really fast and helpful so you should have no problems.
