Server rebuilds

The following email was sent to all BETA participants.

Hi Firstname

Please read this email to the end.

In preparation of coming out of BETA testing and offering Windows VPS as a official offering, we will need to rebuild our Windows VPS servers. We believe that some of the instability issues we have seen are related to our servers initially starting with early beta releases and being upgraded over time. Likewise some of the issues we have faced have been related to VPS created with early versions of the product.

In order to rebuild the servers, we will need to reduce the number of VPS by at least half. After the rebuild, we will then have room to add you back to the beta if you so choose (but we hope to come out of beta by November 1st if you want to just wait). We expect to see no major changes in the product prior to offering it as a paid and supported service.

So, we as that you respond to this email choosing one of the following options.

1. Please delete my BETA VPS. I have completed my testing, and will not need it any longer.

2. Please delete my BETA VPS. After your maintenance I would like to have a clean build.

3. I have been foolish enough to use the BETA server like it's production ready and now I cannot do with out it. Please don't delete my server.


If we do not get enough #1 or #2 responses, the #3 responses will be looked at very closely.

So please help us make room to get a clean start and prepare to go live!

It is worth noting that if you need a day or two to backup etc, this is fine. All we ask is you respond in a timely manner so this doesn't take too long.
