I get this error on my cron set up in Plesk...
/bin/sh: line 1: /usr/bin/wget: Permission denied
I tried...
chmod a+s /usr/bin/crontab
but got....
chmod: changing permissions of `/usr/bin/crontab': Operation not permitted
What to do next I wonder...
use /usr/bin/dltool instead.
wget is chmodded to 700 to stop payloads from being downloaded by exploiting vulnerable scripts. dltool is there as a replacement.

Hi Tony,
May I suggest you edit the post to avoid some 'not so nice' people knowing about this?
Thanks,

It's in the knowledge base.

If someone really wants either in to your VPS, or, to make it look like it was your VPS spamming/attacking/etc, they will. There isn't much that can be done about that. The purpose of dltool is just to stop scriptkiddie's bots, which exploit known vulnerabilities - phpbb for example -, and then try to release a payload. No ball, no play. ;-)

The "not so nice" folks are not reading this forum....they all reside on urls like www.hACkinnotjackin.com
