I have been looking at PowerVPS for a good 3 months.

EVERYDAY at work when I needed a break, I would go to PowerVPS.com, this forum & Webhostingtalk.com for info/reviews.

I just placed my order.

This is going to be different from a shared environment but I'm really looking forward to it!

Many here may find this post useless but I just had to do it (for some reason). Kinda like "HA! I did it!". Lame? LOL.

I will be sure to give my review after a few months.

Take care,

Thanks. I've read many of your posts.

I'm still waiting on my VPS. I ordered at 2PM and it's now 2AM. That's cool though. I'm sure it'll be ready in the morning.

Welcome to PVPS!

Guess it would take longer to get deliveries on a Sunday....but I may have misunderstood the timings as I am confused about times at this moment as i'm not in my location right now ;)

They have to call you and make sure you ordered before they activate the account. They also make sure its a good time in your timezone :D

Someone should have contacted you already, and if they haven't, I apologize. But I know we are running out of room for new orders, and that might be the reason for not rushing (but is no excuse for contacting you by now).

If you dont get a response in the next few hours, let me know.

Feel free to contact me whenever! I'm awake!
11:21AM EST. It's Thanksgiving here so I have the day off!

No need for apologies.

I'd rather have good/solid service than rushed. :)

Thanks for the info charles.

Got my phone call! Looks like it will be a bit of a wait for the server. "Business is booming"

Very kind guy on the phone apologized for this and made sure I wouldn't be charged for time not used.

I was offered to be hosted on a backup server and everything would be transfered when new hardware comes in. Obviously it's easier on the company if I wait. So I am. It must be my Canadian mellowness (whatever eh). They are still taking orders and offering this to anyone. Apparently it won't effect anything except for one VPS reboot - so don't let this stop you from ordering.

I'm going nuts! I want to get going but it will be worth the wait. Here's hoping for Friday/Sat!

Even though I don't have my server yet I'm still pretty satisfied with the level of support AND honesty.

But I know we are running out of room for new orders, ...

Time to put vps in another datacentre too? West coast would be nice for ppl from the other side of the Pacific  :)

They not running out of room physically more serverwise. They cant keep up with server builds and orders. Remember they dont like to pack alot of VPS clients into one host server. (: They don't use dell for their server provider since AMD. Maybe IBM/Sun but in anycase they always strive to keep their customers happy. VPS in San Jose Equinix would be awesome, Be good since people wouldnt have to enter in LA and travel across the country. Last time I asked they said they didnt have the demand yet, that was a year ago before PowerVPS was aquired by DefenderHosting. Maybe now the demand is a tad higher (:

Couldn't hurt to deploy 1 node in San Jose ;)?

It's a lot more complicated than just putting a vz node out there I am afraid. At this time Chicago would be a better location for us to provide the level of service needed if we were to have VPS out of two locations.

I'm waiting to hear when more servers are available to order my 2nd VPS.
Any ETA on this?

Thanks,

We're putting up new nodes as quickly as possible. :) My suggestion would be to e-mail sales since you're an existing customer. Let them know:

-- What Package: (CPanel Power-1, Plesk Power-2, etc)
-- What Hostname:
-- What Password:

They can have you put on the list of folks. As new nodes are put up, priority is given to those who have been waiting. Hopefully it should not be too long. We just don't want to put too many folks on a node. :)

Hi Rob,
I have sent sales ticket, hence why 'I'm waiting to hear' :)

Will need a Power-2 with cPanel on one of those lovely new servers.

But as it's week-end (sales days of rest :p ), and I'm OK for a few days, it's fine to wait.
