CPU and bandwidth benchmarking results

I started pc mark 2002 only on CPU and I've got a result of 5500 points. This is quite high in fact (I guess something like 2GHz P4). My assumption is that ppl are not (ab)using their VPSes yet so that's why we have such high results.

I will use the benchmark again for few times to see the results.

As for the speed tests I've been using the data of upload speed testing which mean server sending info to the test site (the usual scenario for a web server). My interests were few locations in US and Europe and the speed tests follow:

US mean 3-5mbps
Europe mean 1-2.5mbps

dslreports.com speed test links were used.

Note that the speed of the testing site is important in these tests and that these tests were designed to test dsl speeds so they might not have the capacity to measure speeds above few mbps.

Hi Jovan

Would you mind firing an email off to support when you try the next run? We monitor the servers, so I have that, but I'd like to get on the server during the test and watch a few things llive, as well as perhaps run the same test in another VPS or two at the same time :).

We should synchronize tomorrow maybe. Today I am finishing a master for one multimedia CD and I am sending it right now to the cd press factory so wish me luck that I don't scr*w up a 10000 pcs of CDroms and close my company due to law suit by my costumers ;)

I did one quick test again (to distress myself). CPU was again at 4890 points.
