Ok, this is what I'd like to do and I'm having problems getting it all to work...

I want to use stwin.sincotech.com and point that to the Windows VPS. I know how to add DNS zones and what not and I've already added one for the stwin pointing to the Windows VPS's IP address. It's still not resolving.

I want users to be able to login and what not using stwin.sincotech.com:port whatever. So on.. Like they would with cpanel except with the addition of stwin so they know it's on the windows server..

Any ideas on how I would go about setting this all up so they work together?

Well it seems as though my DNS entries weren't resolving fully. But they are now...

Still if anyone has the proper steps to finish this setup, I'd be very grateful.

http://stwin.sincotech.com/

Looks like I got it to work properly. I even setup the account on the windows vps to resolve correctly to this domain, even though it setup on a unix vps. ;)

Go me. hehe

Hi,

I'm using this method for my 2 linux boxes , bout with CPanel.

For hostname you should add A record with your hostname for windows , and point it to main windows IP addressee , so it look like this :

hostname.yourdomain.com A 14400 ip-address-of-your-windows-server

So now , you should add A entry on your windows machine saying :

hostname.yourdomain.com A 1440 ip-address-of-your-windows-server or 127.0.0.1

An I think this should be it !

For nameservers, I'm not shore.

Well I've just setup ns3 and ns4 with the windows' IP address. So I think that will suffice for the time being.

I'll add that a entry now and see what happens.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah I had it working. I turned off the Windows VPS though cause the client wanted to go another route. But yes everything in this post is helpful and works... ;)
