That's a great offer, except that it's not within my needs currently :)

I have a few servers and VPS'es with Defender Hosting since last year and I'm proud to say that I'm extremely happy with their excellent services and network. It's rare nowadays to see a company keeps investing in powerful hardware for their VPS servers just to keep their customers happy. Their VPS servers must cost at least $8000 each, not including the Virtuozzo licenses. I don't think there's any other company out there using hardware that powerful and expensive for their VPS servers.

Tom, when will you rename the network nodes to something more generic, instead of using *.defenderhosting.com? It's too obvious from traceroute that the VPS'es are hosted in DefenderHosting and customers may prefer to get the VPS'es directly from you instead if they know this. I'm sure you get the idea :)

While I agree with you guys a little, :D we can never hide the defenderhosting.com hops, as it is based on the GE connections from other providers to our backbone.

The goal would be that our reseller/private label companies get such great pricing, and offer direct support to their customers, that they won't have a need or desire to come to us for serivce.

I've discussed this before with a few customers, but we don't have a solution, yet, that meets your requirements.

Sort of how all The Planet, EV1, and BurstNet resellers operate, they don't hide the fact of who they are, yet they have a ton of resellers selling their services.

Yes, if you can at least provide your resellers with generous discounts (hint: 40% min :cool: ) , that may help us to sell your VPS aggressively by matching your published prices and still making profit. Otherwise, it's really hard to compete directly with you.

I honestly think it is great for prepackaged solutions. For example if you bundle a VPS with b2b ecommerce site based on j2ee. As for selling pure VPSes you can never compete with the big guys and the virtue of the business is to admit that a person that resells services is a small business with expertize in value added services as well as local marketing power.
