I read somewhere (I believe on a thread somewhere here), that your VPS servers currently reside in one datacenter. Is this correct? And if it is, what is the plan to expand to alternative locations. (Is there currently a plan...or will they remain in the same location for the foreseeable future.)

thanks

Yes, all VPS are in our main datacenter in Virginia. We intend to open shop in London (or somehwere else in Europe) this year, but we have no ETA.

We have presence in San Jose and Chicago, but do not have plans to host VPS there right now.

Will it be possible to move a current VPS to the UK when you open up shop?

Linux? Yes, but your IP would change.

Any more news on this?

London datacentre option?

As european vps's are getting red hot over here and their few and far between at getting one.

Hi there,

At this time, there is nothing planned for the IMMEDIATE future. It's something we're interested in doing still, but I would not expect to see it anytime super soon.

Thats a shame, as Chris said UK Virtuozzo VPS's are rare only 2 companies do it that I could find!

You'd make a killing with a quality solution like you provide at the moment.

This is correct, i looked for quite a while for a decent VPS in the UK but there just are hardly any here! :(

We'll there are a few suppliers but im currently walking away from them, as i don't trust them as much as i trusted PowerVPS with my vps.

A few i know of off the top of my head are;

EuroVPS
VAServ
Servelocity
Catalyst2

Those are some of them but to be honest i'd rather buy a vps from PowerVPS and wait until they start something european up.

Chris.

Catalyst2 looked good but are pricey and do not support Plesk nor are they virtuozzo VPS's.

There are a few VPS providers in the UK but only about 2 that run Virtuozzo and Plesk.

No ETA sorry, and it's a low priority for us right now.

But no harm in asking :)

Thanks for letting me know.
