Default Disable & Shutdown Mailman

I found Mailman running, and want to shut it down and disable it.

I found a spot in WHM (Server Settings, I think) where Mailman was enabled. I disabled it and submitted the change. Mailman is still running on the VPS, though. How do I shut it down?

Mikel, please submit a ticket to support if you still need help with this. The answer depends on what panel your running if any, etc.

Where are you looking to see it still running? I'm trying to do this now also. The below process under "Show Current Running Processes" does go away when I uncheck Mailman in "Tweak Settings", so seems to be working?

13184 (mailmanctl) /usr/bin/python /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/m
/usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/mailmanctl -s
start

I've disabled Mailman in Tweak Settings, removed it from the feature manager, and I've got the following processes running:

24483 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=ArchRunner:0:1 -s
24514 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=BounceRunner:0:1 -s
24546 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=CommandRunner:0:1 -s
24578 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=IncomingRunner:0:1 -s
24608 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=NewsRunner:0:1 -s
24640 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=OutgoingRunner:0:1 -s
24768 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=VirginRunner:0:1 -s
24832 mailman 0 0.0 0.0 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=RetryRunner:0:1 -s

I tried adding mine back in, I did get all those qrunner processes, but when I removed mailman they go away. So like Charles says, maybe depends on what panel you're running and it's version. I'm sure they can take care of it with a ticket. I'm running Cpanel 10.2.0 Release 82.

If you don't need it, then no reason to have it tying up some of your RAM.
