Default APF tos

Hi,

Can anyone explain in layman terms what the apf TOS (type of service) is all about? Your definitions of throughput, delay and reliability?

Does changing the default value of '4' to another increase speed/server response, make it less secure?

Thanks.

I dont think you would notice much difference if you changed default value of 4 to 8 or 16 as port 80 and 443 are already set to "No Delay" settings and even port 21 is set to "Max Throughput".

But to know exactly what it all means in the context of APF, there has to be some detailed documentation available somewhere.

Btw, i've been reading about APF in more detail since reading your post...and wonder why i havent done so before....the antidos feature is simply fantastic. Dunno if anyone here has been using that feature of apf
